Terms of Service

Effective date: April 20, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, signing in with Google, or using LeaPrep (the "Service") at https://leaprep.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use LeaPrep. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and are legally able to enter a contract.

3. Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at contact@leaprep.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. License to use the Service

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use LeaPrep for your own exam preparation. You may not resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to others on a commercial basis.

5. Content

  • Our content: quiz questions, explanations, curricula, AI-generated explanations, brand, and code are owned by LeaPrep (or licensed from CFA curriculum publishers where applicable). You may use them for personal study only.
  • Your content: notes, bookmarks, uploaded avatar, AI tutor conversations, and attempt data remain yours. By uploading, you grant us a license to store and process it to provide the Service.
  • CFA Institute:"CFA" and "Chartered Financial Analyst" are trademarks of the CFA Institute. LeaPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the CFA Institute.

6. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Scrape, harvest, or mass-download the question bank or any content.
  • Abuse the AI tutor (automated queries, spam, content that violates OpenAI usage policies).
  • Reverse-engineer or circumvent security, rate limits, or paywalls.
  • Share your account credentials or resell access.
  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringing on third-party rights.

7. Pricing and billing

The Service currently offers a free tier. Paid plans, if introduced, will be clearly priced before purchase and handled through Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

8. AI-generated content disclaimer

The AI tutor uses OpenAI models to generate explanations. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Do not rely on AI output as a substitute for the official CFA curriculum or professional financial advice.

9. Study aid, not official preparation

LeaPrep is a supplementary study tool. Passing the CFA exam requires effort far beyond using any single platform. We make no guarantee that using LeaPrep will result in passing any exam.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEAPREP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) USD 100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LeaPrep harmless from any claim arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party right.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ho Chi Minh City.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email (where we have your address) or in-app at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
